Planning a funeral is often a stressful and emotional time. One of the most challenging and daunting tasks you may face is writing the eulogy, or your own speech. 

You want the words to be a fitting farewell for your loved one, reflecting their personality, passions and achievements. You want the words to be as unique, colourful and impactful as the individual. 

Parting Words supports you at this difficult time by talking with family members, friends and colleagues to gather stories, memories and shared moments that depict the many facts of the individual, These are woven into a unique eulogy that celebrates, acknowledges and honours your loved one. The eulogy can be provided to you for you to deliver as part of the funeral service or presented on your behalf by Andrea Brady. 

Andrea Brady

Andrea Brady is the face and name behind Parting Words. Skilled as a writer, speaker, presenter and storyteller, Andrea has spent her lifetime working with words and with people. 

She is a public relations practitioner and communication consultant to organisations across New Zealand and internationally. With a strong background in healthcare, Andrea has worked with many non-profit organisations and patient associations to develop education campaigns, advocate for access to treatment options and to raise funds.

Andrea co-founded the Meningitis Foundation Aotearoa New Zealand and is currently a board member of the Foundation. She works closely with families impacted by meningitis; those who have lost loved ones, and individuals and families focussed on recovery and rehabilitation. Parting Words was borne from Andrea's desire to support the bereaved by providing them with the perfect words, when they need them the most.

Andrea is a member of the Celebrants' Association of New Zealand.
